Years 1 and 2 students from Aljamea-tus-Saifiyah, Nairobi, participated in a science fair focused on the concept of sustainability. The exhibition was inspired by Nabi Mohammed's SAW statement: "All of Creation is a family dependent upon Allah; therefore, the most beloved to Him is the one who benefits His family the most."
Each student group was tasked with preparing a demonstration that showcased how the four classical elements could be utilised sustainably for the betterment of Earth and its inhabitants. For example, one project illustrated how air pressure could be used to effectively pump water to fields, promoting sustainable agriculture. Another project showcased how body heat could generate electric current to power a hand fan and charge a mobile phone. This event allowed students to explore sustainability through various demonstrations, highlighting its potential to enhance the living environment for present and future generations.
